Happy birthday Organization Impact!

imagesBirthdays are just a good thing.  My nieces and nephew count down the days until their BIG DAY because let’s face it, great things happen on that day.  Well, Organization Impact is celebrating a birthday…our 8th birthday to be exact.  So in this week’s blog, I would love to simply celebrate all the wonderful things our birthday represents.

Birthdays are about reflecting.
Think about those milestone years.  The 21st,  29th, and 40th birthday’s all have significant meaning.  Each in some way ushers in assessment of a person’s accomplishments and dreams.

Since October of 2006 we have partnered with over 100 organizations in 29 states helping thousands of employees…and we love that!  Thank you to every business owner and team leader who have been diligent in helping their teams be great.  We are honored to be part of your process.

Birthdays are about celebrating.
Cake, candles and presents.  Any child (young and old) loves them.  And why not? The human spirit loves to celebrate.

A lot has happened in the marketplace since 2006.  We have seen a recession come and hopefully go.  New businesses exist now that were just a dream in 2006.  A new generation of workers has entered the business scene and another is making plans for retirement.  Technology has transformed the way we do business.  And the list goes on and on.  We celebrate Organization’s Impact in these events.  For each one has had in impact on employee needs, skills and goals and that’s the very thinking we love to do.

Birthdays are about dreaming.
Ask any tween and they will tell you they are counting down the years until that “Sweet Sixteen” day.  They dream of that first date or car and all that life will bring in that special year.

I love to dream about Organization Impact too.  The business continues to change – not in fundamental purpose – but rather the method.  More and more I hear business leaders trying to figure out how to remain competitive yet hang on to their brightest and best employees.  The world of organizational learning and development is evolving  There are many ways to make a positive impact and I love how new partners and alliances have come my way that create wonderful new methods to help businesses grow.  So yes, I’m already dreaming about that Sweet 16 for Organization Impact.

So as the old song says, “Happy birthday to you.  Happy birthday to you.  Happy birthday Organization Impact.  Happy birthday to you.   And many more…”
